The Administrator felt the next step would be to <br />put together a list of potential tenants, that list to <br />include Canadian Days, Little Canada Fire Department, <br />NSYA, St. Joseph's Society, Little Canada Charity Plus. <br />5trohbeen asked if Lake Owasso would be included on the <br />list. <br />Scalze pointed out that Lake Owasso does not have a <br />premise permit. <br />Strohbeen reported that Lake Owasso got out of the <br />binqo hall because the rent was too high. Lake Owasso <br />was paying $400 per session while other organizations <br />were paying $335. <br />The Administrator suggested that Lake Owasso be added <br />to the list and the Council can act on the issue of <br />premise permit at a later date. <br />Matson asked if Trade Lake Camps would be included on <br />the list. <br />Scalze indicated that if the organization does not <br />benefit the citizens of Little Canada, she was not <br />interested. <br />Matson reported that he informed Trade Lake Camps that <br />the City Council was very concerned about benefit to <br />its citizens, and it would be their intent to generate <br />a significant amount of funds to Little Canada should <br />they apply for and receive premise permit approval. <br />Matson reported that Trade Lake Camps may be interested <br />in pursuing a premise permit should the rents paid in <br />Little Canada be lowered. <br />Scalze suggested that the City solicit interest from <br />the various organizations. <br />The City Administrator pointed out that the City has in <br />the past asked organizations to come forward. The <br />Administrator felt that the key next step would be for <br />the property owners to put together some rental <br />packages and submit those to the various organizations. <br />The Administrator then suggested that the City survey <br />the organizations to determine their preference based <br />on the rental packages submitted. The Administrator <br />pointed out that the City would not guarantee that <br />charities would be approved for a premise permit, but <br />would determine where the most support lies for <br />location. The Administrator pointed out that the <br />bigqest issue is that the Mover's Warehouse bingo hall <br />license is up for renewal, therefore, time is of the <br />Page 11 <br />
