MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JUNE 8, 1993
Scalze pointed out that the bulk of interest in
swimming lessons would come from young families,
therefore, a random survey might not adequately reflect
that need.
Council instructed the Parks and Recreation Commission
to review and comment on the issue of the use of the
Capitol View pool.
OLD FIRE 5calze asked if a meeting had been scheduled of the
STATION committee that was formed to look into the use of the
old fire station.
The Mayor replied that due to the many issues before
the Council in recent months, the old fire station
committee had not met. However, a meeting would be
scheduled shortly.
Morelan pointed out that the grant application
submitted for upgrading the old fire station to meet
ADA requirements was denied. Morelan asked the effect
of that on the 10% Capital Improvement List, and
suggested that perhaps monies in that fund should be
tied into the upgrade of the old fire station.
Pedersen asked if the first five items on the capital
improvement listing which were approved by the Council
have been accomplished.
The City Administrator replied that purchase or upgrade
of these items is being worked on.
ADJOURN Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 93-6-174 - ADJOURNING
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan.
Ayes (5) LaValle, Morelan, Hanson, Pedersen, Scalze.
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
There being no further business, the meeting was
adjourned at 9:12 P.M.
Attest:
auy~ ~~
