MSNUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />JUNE 15, 1993 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special <br />meeting of the Council of the City of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was held on the 15th day of June, 1993 in the <br />Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Raymond Hanson chaired and called the meeting to <br />order at 7:30 P.M., and the following members of the <br />Council were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Raymond Hanson <br />Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Council Member Mr. Steve Morelan <br />Council Member Mr. Bob Pedersen <br />Council Member Mrs. Bev Scalze <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Admin. Mr. Joel Hanson <br />City Attorney Mr. Tom Sweeney <br />Recording Sec. Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />CHARITABLE Mayor Hanson noted that the Council has before it for <br />GAMBLING consideration premise permit applications from St. <br />Joseph's Society for Charity, Inc., North Suburban <br />Youth Association, Little Canada Charity Plus, Inc. and <br />Lake Owasso Residence Volunteer Council. Hanson asked <br />if these applications were in order. <br />The Administrative Assistant replied that all appeared <br />to be in order, however, there were criminal background <br />checks that needed to be done for members and employees <br />of the one organization that has not been operating <br />bingo for the past several months. <br />The City Administrator suggested that the first step <br />would be for the Council to determine the acceptability <br />of the organizations as well as the change in location <br />of the premise. <br />Scalze asked how the City would determine whether or <br />not the Lake Owasso license is active. <br />The City Administrator pointed out that the licenses <br />for St. Joe's, Little Canada Charity, and NSYA are all <br />active even though Little Canada Charity has not been <br />Page 1 <br />
