MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />J'ULY 28, 1993 <br />MUSIC IN Mayor Hanson announced that the Parks and Recreation <br />TIIE PARKS Department will be sponsoring a"Music In The Park" <br />series at Spooner Park on Eli Road this August. Three <br />different variety bands will be performing at the band <br />shelter on consecutive Wednesday evenings at 7 P.M. as <br />follows: <br />August 11 - "Midas Touch" <br />August 18 - "Bourbon Street Boys" <br />August 25 - "Cheers" <br />The performances would not be possible without the <br />financial support of U.S. recording companies who hire <br />professional musicians, as well as additional funding <br />from Little Canada Charity Plus and the Little Canada <br />Parks and Recreation Department. Hanson thanked these <br />organizations for their support. <br />TAX The Mayor opened the Public Hearing to consider the <br />INCRENSENT establishment of a Redevelopment Project Area and <br />FINANCING adoption of a Redevelopment Plan related thereto, <br />DISTRICT - pursuant to MN Statutes 469.011 through 469.047, as <br />RICE STREET well as considering the establishment of a <br />REDEVELOPMENT Redevelopment Tax Increment Financing District No. <br />~ 3-1 and adoption of Tax Increment Financing Plan <br />related thereto, pursuant to MN Statutes 469.174 <br />through 469.179 for an area along Rice Street <br />as shown in a map contained in the Council agenda <br />packet. Hanson reported that it will be necessary <br />to continue this public hearing until Thursday, July <br />July 29, 1993 at 5:00 P.M. at the City Center. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93-7-225 - CONTINUING THE PUBLIC HEARING <br />TO CONSIDER ESTABLISHMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA <br />AND ADOPTION OF REDEVELOPMENT PLAN RELATED THERETO, AND <br />ESTABLISHMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT TAX INCREMENT FINANCING <br />DISTRICT N0. 3-1 AND ADOPTION OF TAX INCREMENT <br />FINANCING PLAN RELATED THERETO UNTIL THURSDAY, JULY 29, <br />1993 AT 5:00 P.M. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, Scalze, Hanson, Pedersen, LaValle. <br />Nays (0).
