MINUTES CITY COUNCIL SEPTEMBER 8, 1993 now and December when the final levy must be certi£ied to the County. The City Attorney reported that it would be appropriate to continue the meeting until September 14th for purposes of review of the proposed 1994 Budget. Morelan reported that he will be out-of-town next week and unable to attend the September 14th meeting. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 93-9-276 - CONTINUING THE COUNCIL MEETING UNTIL TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 1993 AT 7 P.M. The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. Ayes (3) LaValle, Pedersen, Hanson. Nays (1) Morelan. Resolution declared adopted. The City Administrator pointed out that last year the Council televised all budget meetings, and it was Scalze's recommendation that the 1994 Budget workshops and meetings be televised as well. Council concurred. TRUTH IN Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and TAXATION moved its adoption: HF.~IRINGS RESOLUTION N0. 93-9-277 - CALLING THE FOLLOWING TRUTH IN TAXATION HEARING DATES: WED., DECEMBER 8, 1993, 7:30 P.M. - TRUTH IN TAXATION HEARING THURS., DECEMBER 16, 1993, 5:30 P.M. - CONTINUATION OF TRUTH IN TAXATION HEARING, IF NECESSARY WED., DECEMBER 22, 1993, 7:30 P.M. - ADOPTION OF 1994 BUDGET The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. Ayes (4) LaValle, Pedersen, Hanson, Morelan. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. CITY The City Administrator presented the various City CENTII2 Center use policies, and reported that Scalze has USE POLICY indicated Option 2 as her preference. Scalze had also indicated that she would prefer that if the existing uses at City Hall are to be discontinued, then a specific date should be set to accomplish this. We also need to develop a plan for the use of the lower level of the old fire station. Morelan aqreed that Option 2 was the way to go, and stated that he would be hesitant about guaranteeing the Page 3
