MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />14, 1993 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice the Council of the City <br />of Little Canada, Minnesota reconvened its regular <br />meeting which was held on the 8th day of September, <br />1993 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located <br />at 515 Little Canada Road in said City on this 14th day <br />of September, 1993. <br />Mayor Raymond Hanson chaired and called the meeting to <br />order at 7:15 P.M. and the following members of the <br />Council were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Raymond Hanson <br />Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Council Member Mr. Bob Pedersen <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Council Member Mr. Steve Morelan <br />Council Member Mrs. Bev Scalze <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Admin. Mr. Joel Hanson <br />Bldg. Official Mr. John Palacio <br />Cable TV Prod. Mr. Bill Bruce <br />Recording Sec. Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />1994 The City Administrator presented the proposed 1994 <br />BUDGET Budqet to the City Council. The Administrator reported <br />REVIEW that the City must certify its preliminary levy to <br />Ramsey County by tomorrow so that levy amount can be <br />used in the Truth in Taxation hearing notices which are <br />sent out on a parcel-specific basis. Once the <br />preliminary levy is certified, as the Council refines <br />the 1994 Budget, the levy amount can be decreased, but <br />cannot be increased. The Administrator pointed out <br />that there will be supplemental workshops to fine-tune <br />the 1994 Budget prior to the end of the year. The main <br />purpose tonight is to adopt a preliminary levy amount <br />that the Council is comfortable will achieve what the <br />City wants to do in 1994. <br />The Administrator recommended no major expenditure <br />reductions this evening since there are two members of <br />the Council absent. The Administrator felt it <br />necessary to have the full Council present to provide <br />input on expenditure information.
