MINUTES CITY COUNCIL SEPTEMBER 22, 1993 1994 The City Administrator recommended the Council gIIDGET schedule a workshop to begin detailed review of the WORRSHOP proposed 1994 Budget. It was the consensus of the Council to schedule that workshop for 7 P.M. ori Thursday, September 3oth. ROSEVILLE Hanson noted the report from the Building Inspector AREA regarding the inoperable fire hydrant at the Roseville MIDDLE Area Middle School. Council also discussed the fact SCHOOL that water service to that building for fire protection was inadequate. It was the consensus of the Council that City staff should follow up on this issue with John Thein of the School District to ensure adequate fire protection capabilities. TAX Council reviewed the recommendation of the Park & FORFEITED Recreation Commission with regard to the City's PROPERTY acquisition of tax forfeited property adjacent to City park property just north of Maple Lane. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 93-9-312 - ACCEPTING THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE PARK AND RECREATION AND AUTxORIZING STAFF TO TAKE THE APPROPRIATE STEPS TO ACQUIRE TAX FORFEITED PARCEL NO. 06-29-22-13-0039-7 FOR OPEN SPACE AND PARK PURPOSES The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Hanson, Morelan, Pedersen. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. OPEN In view of the recent Afton decision, the City MEETING Attorney reminded the Council that any quorum of the LAW Council qualifies as a meeting for which there must be notice. ADJOiJRN Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 93-9-313 - ADJOURNING The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen.
