MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE C2INADA, MINNESOTA <br />OCTOBER 12, 1993 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special <br />meeting of the Council of the City of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was held on the 12th day of October, 1993 in <br />the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Acting Mayor Beverly Scalze chaired and called the <br />meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. and the following members <br />of the Council were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Acting Mayor Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />Council Member Mr. Steve Morelan <br />Council Member Mr. Bob Pedersen <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: <br />Mayor <br />Council Member <br />Mr. Raymond Hanson <br />Mr. Jim LaValle <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />City Admin. <br />City Attorney <br />City Engineer <br />Recording Sec <br />Mr. Joel Hanson <br />Mr. Tom Sweeney <br />Mr. Mike Lynch <br />Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />ASSESSMENT Acting Mayor Scalze opened the public hearing to <br />IIEARING consider the assessment for Improvement No. 92-5, <br />IMP. NO. LaBore Road between the east line of DeSoto Street to <br />92-5 the west line of Edgerton Street by street <br />LABORE ROAD reconstruction and storm sewer improvements. The <br />amount to be assessed against benefitting properties is <br />$63,829.29. <br />City Engineer Mike Lynch presented the cost summary for <br />the project pointing out that at the improvement <br />hearing total project costs of $307,054, assessed costs <br />of $87,197, and City costs of $219,857 were projected. <br />Final total project costs are $291,297, assessed costs <br />are $63,829.29, and City costs are $227,467.71. The <br />Engineer reported that final costs are better than <br />originally estimated due to a favorable project bid. <br />The City Administrator explained the assessment rate <br />for the project, and pointed out that the rate of <br />$43.22 per lineal foot assessment proposed is well <br />Page 1 <br />
