MINUTES CITY COUNCIL OCTOBER 12, 1993 Devich reported that he has a drainage easement through his yard, and was concerned that increased water through his property could not be handled by the duct work that is in place. Martha Revoir, 3020 Edgerton, was concerned that restoration has not been completed in her yard, and pointed out that there are holes in her driveway which are hazardous. The City Engineer indicated that he would have the project superintendent contact Mrs. Revoir and address the problems. The property owner at 2924 Edgerton indicated that the assessment roll shows a service connection for his property, and he has not connected. Jack Schmidt, 2718 Edgerton, reported that one of his property stakes was removed during the project, and he has paid to have that stake replaced. The City Engineer suggested that Schmidt forward the bill to the City. The contractor will be contacted for reimbursement of this invoice. The City Attorney pointed out that the assessment roll contains some errors in service charges. The Attorney recommended that the assessment hearing be continued until the assessment roll can be corrected. Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 93-10-316 - CONTINUING THE ASSESSMENT HEARING FOR THE EDGERTON WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT UNTIL WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 14, 1993 AT 9:00 P.M. The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. Ayes (3) Morelan, Pedersen, Scalze. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. ASSESSMENT Scalze opened the assessment hearing for Costa Lane HEARING from DeSoto Street to DeSoto Street by storm sewer, IMP. NO. water main, sanitary sewer, concrete curb and gutter, 92-10 and bituminous street construction. The amount to be COSTA LANE assessed is $210,105.00. Mr. Murf Jespersen asked why cost figures differ from the bid amount. The City Administrator pointed out that the bid is on a Page 20
