MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
OCTOBER 13, 1993
If the assessment is left as a deferred assessment, it
would show up in a title search, and would continue
until the property is divided.
Morelan pointed out that one difference from the senior
citizen deferral, is that the senior deferral is
payable immediately upon sale of the property. Under
the development deferral, the deferral could continue
even though a property is sold.
Mrs. Becker indicated that the assessment would be
acceptable with the proposal for the development
deferral.
There was no one else from the general public present
wishing to comment on this matter.
The City Attorney recommended the Council's first
course of action would be to act on the objections that
have been filed to this assessment roll.
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION N0. 93-10-328 - DENYING THE ASSESSMENT
OBJECTION OF MR. AND MRS. BECKER, 551 ALLEN AVENUE, DUE
TO THE AVAILABILITY OF THE DEVELOPMENT DEFERRAL OPTION
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Sca12e.
Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Pedersen, Hanson, Morelan.
Nays (0).
