MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 13, 1993 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Pedersen, LaValle, Hanson, Morelan, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Upon motion by LaValle, seconded by Morelan, the public <br />hearing was closed. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93-10-331 - ADOPTING THE ASSESSMENT ROLL <br />FOR IMPROVEMENT NO. 92-11, VANDERBIE/ALLEN AVENUE <br />IMPROVEMENT, WITH THE CORRECTIONS TO THE ASSESSMENT <br />ROLL AS DESCRIBED BY THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, Hanson. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator reported that any senior citizen <br />or development deferral applications will be submitted <br />to the Council for action at their November 10th <br />regular meeting. <br />RECESS At this point in the meeting, 9:07 P.M., Council took a <br />short recess. The meeting was reconvened at 9:16 P.M. <br />ASSESSMENT Hanson opened the assessment hearing on the improvement <br />AEARING of Edgerton Street from the north line of Little Canada <br />IMP. NO. Road to County Road D, County Road D from the east line <br />92-3 of Edgerton Street to the west line of Payne Avenue, <br />EDGERTON Keller Parkway north from Little Canada Road <br />approximately 500 feet by water main improvement. The <br />amount proposed to be assessed is $253,828.65. <br />The City Administrator reported that the assessment <br />hearing had been continued from last night due to some <br />errors on the assessment roll with regard to the $75.00 <br />service connection charge. The assessment roll has now <br />been corrected. There is no problem with the <br />assessment notices which were sent since the cost of <br />the project has decreased from what the property owners <br />were notified even though two property have had a$75 <br />service charge added to their assessment. <br />The City Administrator noted the assessment objection <br />filed by Mrs. Michelson. That property has been sold <br />recently, and Mrs. Michelson is objecting to her <br />property being assessed as a dividable lot. The <br />Administrator pointed out that the City has available a <br />development deferment, wherein the water main <br />Page 16 <br />
