MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 13, 1993 <br />LETTER DATED OCTOBER 8, 1993, AND AS RECOMMENDED BY THE <br />FIRE MARSHAL, REQUESTING A DETAILED EVALUATION OF THE <br />PROGRAM WITHIN THREE MONTHS TIME <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (4) Morelan, Pedersen, Scalze, Hanson. <br />Nays (1) LaValle. Resolution declared adopted. <br />LaValle indicated that he opposed the program under the <br />current leadership. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 93-10-338 - HIRING DAVE FRISON AS THE <br />CITY'S PART-TIME, TEMPORARY AT-WILL FIRE INSPECTOR AT A <br />SALARY OF $10.50 PER HOUR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, Pedersen, LaValle, Scalze, Hanson. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ECONOMIC The City Administrator reported that he expected to <br />DEVELOPMRNT receive a draft of a preliminary development agreement <br />for the Rice 5treet redevelopment project in the near <br />future. <br />SHERIFF'S Pedersen felt it helpful to have the Sheriff's <br />DEPARTMENT Department attend the Council/Staff goal-setting <br />session and felt that periodic workshops with the <br />Sheriff's Department should be held. <br />It was the consensus of the Council to schedule a <br />workshop with the Sheriff's Department for Wednesday, <br />December 8, 1993, at 6:30 P.M. <br />FIRE DEPT. Morelan reported that the Little Canada Fire <br />OPEN HOUSE Department's open house went well. The Fire Department <br />still has smoke detectors available to anyone who is <br />interested. Residents can contact the Fire Department <br />who will install the detectors for residents if there <br />is the need. <br />MARRET Morelan noted the correspondence from a resident of <br />PLACE Roseville regarding the potential relocation of the <br />DRIVEWAY Market Place Shopping Center driveway. <br />REIACATION <br />The City Administrator reported that the City Planner <br />is followinq up with MN DOT on this issue, and he will <br />find out the status and report back to the Council. <br />Page 24 <br />
