MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
OCTOBER 13, 1993
Morelan indicated that he has encountered no one who
has not had respect for the City Administrator.
LaValle rated the Administrator as Exceeding
Expectations, feeling that the public had a high regard
for the City Administrator.
Council reviewed Intergovernmental Relations, with
Hanson rating the Administrator as Meeting
Expectations. Scalze agreed with the rating, pointing
out that the Administrator works well with the
Sheriff's Department, but should do more networking
with other cities. Lack of time could be a factor in
this area. Morelan rated the City Administrator's
dealings with the Fire Department as Exceeding
Expectations, noting the time the Administrator took in
this area.
The City Administrator felt that intergovernmental
networking was his weakest area, and that more
networking is needed with the League and State
Legislators. However, attention to other priorities
have resulted in a lack of time to given the necessary
attention to this area.
Council reviewed Professional/Personal Development.
Hanson rated the Administrator as Meeting
Expectations+. Scalze agreed, commenting that verbal
and written communications were good, but feeling that
sometimes the Administrator needed to be more abrupt
and decisive. Morelan rated the Administrator as
Exceeding Expectations, and LaValle agreed. Pedersen
commended the Administrator for the time and effort
spent on the Assessment Policy.
The Administrator felt that the staff and City Council
were a good group of people to work with, and this has
made his job easier. The Administrator reported that
he is very appreciative of the opportunities that he
has had at Little Canada. The Administrator also
thanked the Council for the time that they have been
willing to dedicate to the City.
There being no further business, the workshop was
adjourned at 7:20 P.M.
~.?~i~`?,~'r.~7c 7~~, ~~e' ~~y 'j.
~ T ~ ~~~z ll~L-4~~`~~ (~.+
Ra'~~t~nd G.
