MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
OCTOBER 27, 1993
Morelan pointed out concern expressed at the initial
Planning Commission about landlocking the back of
properties along LaBOre Road.
Gust suggested that LaBore Road properties could be
developed via a cul-de-sac. Gust also pointed out that
extension of the Canada Woods West cul-de-sac would put
it across the powerline easement, thus increasing the
cost of the street.
Morelan asked about a trail connection to Maplewood.
Gust reported that the Canada Woods West plat will
provide a 30-foot trail easement which will angle
across the plat up to the Maplewood border. Gust
reported that the platting of the adjacent Maplewood
property will include a trail connection to this Little
Canada trail.
There was no one from the general public present
wishing to comment on this matter.
Upon motion by Morelan, seconded by LaValle, the public
hearing was closed.
Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 93-10-247 - APPROVING THE PRELIMINARY
PLAT FOR CANADA WOODS WEST AS PRESENTED SUBJECT TO
COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE PLANNING
COMMISSION, PARK & RECREATION COMMISSION, CITY PLANNER
AS CONTAINED IN HIS REPORT DATED SEPTEMBER 3, 1993, AND
SUBJECT TO THE CITY ENGINEER'S AND WATERSHED'S REVIEW
AND APPROVAL OF DRAINAGE PLAN, SPECIFICALLY THE RUN-OFF
FROM THE HOLDING POND ONTO PRIVATE PROPERTY
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle.
Ayes (5) Morelan, LaValle, Pedersen, Scalze, Hanson.
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
ROSEVILLE Lynnae LeBarron, Executive Director, North Suburban
AREA Senior Council appeared before the Council to report
SENIOR on the activities of the Roseville Area Senior Program,
COUNCIL specifically with regard to its Blockworker Outreach
Program and their request for $1,920 in funding from
Little Canada to support this program.
LeBarron reported that the Blockworker Outreach Program
was established in 1986 in order to reach isolated
older adults in the community.
