MINU`PES CITY COUNCIL NOVII~ffiER 16, 1993 Morelan asked if victims sometimes refuse the services of the Family Violence Network. Johnson reported that this does happen, but the Network is there for victims to explain their options. Advocates would still attend court proceedings even if the victim refused services. The Network has an agreement with law enforcement agencies to monitor court proceedings. The Network would gather information on the case and have it available if the victim changed his or her mind and asked for help. Morelan asked if the Network would receive any funding from the County. Johnson replied that the County would still be providing funding, however, at a reduced level. Hanson reported that the Council would take the request under advisement and a decision would be made at an upcoming budget workshop. Johnson reported that the Network's 24-hour crisis number is 770-0777, and Council indicated that information on the services the Network provides would be put on the City's Cable TV channel. CONSENT Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and AGENDA moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 93-11-256 - APPROVING THE CONSENT AGENDA WHICH INCLUDED THE FOLLOWING ITEMS: *APPROVING THE SLUMBERLAND REFINANCING DOCUMENTS~ *ACCEPTING THE FEDERAL FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE REPORT RELATING TO COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDING FOR THE MAYFIELD PROJECT; *AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT OF PLANNING COMMISSION AND PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION VACANCIES; *APPROVING ASSESSMENT DEFERMENT EXTENSIONS FOR CERTAIN COUNTRY DRIVE PROPERTIES AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR; *REALLOCATING PAYMENT FOR THE COPY MACI-IINE FROM THE 3% GAMBLING FUND TO THE GENERAL CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND; *CONFIRMING THE POSITION OF THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR RELATING TO RESTORATION OF PROPERTY AT 3104 EDGERTON STREET; Page 3
