MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVEMBER 24, 1993 <br />discuss business retention. More information will be <br />gathered on a program that would not cost the City <br />anything and would involve volunteers. This <br />information will be brought back to the City Council. <br />Hanson reported that he and the City Administrator will <br />be contacting businesses in the City to determine if <br />there are things that the City can do to address their <br />needs or concerns. <br />COMMi7NITY Morelan asked for more information on the Community <br />PRIDE Pride Committee and how it was formed. <br />COMMITTEE <br />Scalze reported that the committee was proposed at the <br />City Council level and initially formed to discuss code <br />enforcement issues. There were representatives of the <br />business community on the committee, including <br />representation from Ryan Industrial Park. <br />The Administrator felt there were merits to such a <br />committee continuing on. Some of the programs <br />developed or issues discussed by this committee were <br />the City's tree program, clean-up day, code <br />enforcement, and street projects. <br />Scalze stated that the committee formed initially to <br />discuss code enforcement, and that the Building <br />Official was a part of the committee. <br />Hanson pointed out that some of the members of the <br />committee have since left the City. <br />FIRE Pedersen asked the status of the fire inspection <br />INSPECTION program. <br />PROGRAM <br />The City Administrator replied that the program has not <br />gotten underway as yet. Staff is in the process of <br />revising forms that will be used in the program. <br />ADJOURN Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93-11-277 - ADJOURNING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Pedersen, Morelan, Scalze, Hanson. <br />Nays (0).
