MINUTES OF THE WORRSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />DECENIBER 8, 1993 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop <br />meeting of the Council of the City of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was held on the 8th day of December, 1993 in <br />the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Raymond Hanson chaired and called the meeting to <br />order at 6:30 P.M. and the following members of the <br />Council were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Raymond Hanson <br />Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Council Member Mr. Steve Morelan <br />Council Member Mr. Bob Pedersen <br />Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />ALSO PRESENT: Sheriff's Dept. Comm. Jerry Bergeron <br />Resident Mr. Chris Cardinal <br />Rec. Secretary Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />Hanson reported that the purpose of tonight's meeting <br />is to discuss with the Ramsey County Sheriff's <br />Department the policing activity within the City. <br />Commander Jerry Bergeron presented the Council with a <br />report listing total incidents within the City for the <br />past year. Bergeron pointed out that there was a total <br />of 5,142 incidents responded to by the Sheriff's <br />Department during that time period. Incidents with <br />higher frequencies include alarm responses at 454, <br />assaults at 154, criminal damage to property at 231, <br />248 assist a citizen, 152 domestics and 259 medical <br />calls. <br />Hanson noted that there were 135 noise complaints and <br />asked if these were complaints about loud neighbors. <br />Bergeron responded that for the most part they are <br />complaints about construction noise or business <br />equipment. <br />Morelan asked if contractors violating the City's noise <br />ordinance are cited. <br />Page 1 <br />
