A 250 random sample provides plus or <br />minus 6%. 200 is plus or minus 7%. <br />Scalze asked the cost difference from a 400 random <br />sample to a 250. <br />Morris replied that the cost would be 5/8th's plus <br />overhead. <br />Hanson felt that at this point a work session was <br />needed with the Council, Staff, and Commission <br />representatives to determine what direction to go. <br />Hanson thanked Morris for his presentation. <br />RENEWAL Hanson opened the public hearing to consider the <br />OF PAWN renewal of the pawn shop and second hand goods license <br />SHOP for Lincoln Pawn and Jewelry at 2750 North Rice Street. <br />LICENSE Hanson pointed out the reports the City has received <br />from the Sheriff's Department indicating that Lincoln <br />Pawn has been very cooperative and there have been no <br />problems at the business. <br />Mr. Charles Wedemeyer, Lincoln Pawn & Jewelry, appeared <br />before the Council to answer any questions they might <br />have. Wedemeyer reported that Lincoln Pawn & Jewelry <br />does cooperate with the Ramsey County Sheriff's <br />Department, and there have been few, if any, problems <br />at the business. <br />There was no one from the general public present <br />wishing to comment on this matter. <br />Upon motion by LaValle, seconded by Scalze, the public <br />hearing was closed. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 93-12-291 - APPROVING RENEWAL OF THE <br />PAWN SHOP AND SECOND HAND GOODS LICENSE FOR LINCOLN <br />PAWN AND JEWELRY, 2750 RICE STREET, FOR THE PERIOD <br />JANUARY 1, 1994 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 1994 BASED ON THE <br />FAVORABLE REPORT SUBMITTED BY THE RAMSEY COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Pedersen, Aanson, Morelan, Scalze. <br />Nays (0).
