1+IT:NUTES <br />CI'L'Y COUNCIL <br />JANi7ARY 12, 1994 <br />Mr. Pedersen introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94-1-3 - APPROVING THE MINUTES OF THE <br />DECEMBER 16, 1993 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING AS SUBMITTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Pedersen, LaValle, Hanson, Scalze, Morelan. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PT.AQUE On behalf of the Council and citizens of Little Canada, <br />Pt2~SENTA- the Mayor presented Diane Husak with a plaque <br />TION recognizi ng her many years of service to the City as <br />DIANE Assistant Director of Recreation. Ms. Husak recently <br />II[JSAR resigned from that position to pursue other interests. <br />Ausak indicated that she enjoyed her years of service <br />as Assistant Recreation Director, particularly her <br />involvement with the youth of the City. <br />Scalze pointed out Diane has been involved in the <br />recreation programminq for many years and has expanded <br />girls' recreation in the City. Scalze commented that <br />whatever Diane did, she did with enthusiasm and in a <br />fun way. <br />CERTIFICATE The Mayor reported that the City has a Certificate of <br />OF APPRE- Appreciation to present to Joe Fasciana for his years <br />CIATION of service as a member of the Park and Recreation <br />JOE FASCIANACommission. However, Mr. Fasciana is ill and could not <br />be present this evening. Therefore, the Certificate <br />will be delivered to Mr. Fasciana with thanks for his <br />many years of service to the community. <br />CLASS B Mr. Gene Fasciana, representing Little Canada <br />GAtqBLING Canadian Days, Inc., presented an application for <br />LSCENSE & Class B Gambling License and Premise Permit to sell <br />PREMISE pull-tabs at the Venetian Inn effective April 1, 1994. <br />PEI2MIT <br />CANADIAN The Administrative Assistant reported that the <br />DAYS application package is complete with the exception of a <br />letter from the IRS indicating that Canadian Days has <br />501C3 status. Sheriff's Department background checks <br />are also necessary on all members and employees of the <br />organization. <br />Page 2 <br />
