MZNUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 26, 1994 <br />PURCHASE Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />OF PLOW moved its adoption: <br />FOR LOADER <br />RESOLUTION N0. 94-1-32 - APPROVING TIiE PURCHASE OF A <br />SNOW PLOW FOR THE LOADER FROM ZIEGLER CATEPILLAR IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $8~391 AS RECOMMENDED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS <br />SUPERINTENDENT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (4) Morelan, LaValle, Hanson, Pedersen. <br />Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ASSISTANT The Parks & Recreation Director reported that the City <br />ItECRL~ATION advertised an Assistant Recreation Director vacancy via <br />DIRECTOR the City newsletter, on the City's Cable TV channel and <br />in the Little Canada Press. Nine applications were <br />received and all nine applicants were interviewed. The <br />Director felt that the City was very fortunate in the <br />type and quality of the candidates for the position. <br />Based on the interview, qualifications, and references, <br />the Parks & Recreation Director recommended that <br />Michelle DeBace be hired to fill the position of <br />Assistant Recreation Director at a salary of $541 per <br />month. The Director reported that DeBace has a degree <br />in in the recreation administration field, and has <br />coached and participated in the City's recreation <br />programs. DeBace would commence her duties effective <br />February 1, 1994. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94-1-33 - HIRING MICHELLE DEBACE AS <br />ASSISTANT RECREATION DIRECTOR FOR THE CITY OF LITTLE <br />CANADA EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 1, 1994 AS RECOMMENDED BY THE <br />PARKS & RECREATION DIRECTOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Morelan, Hanson, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ADJOURN Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94-1-34 - ADJOURNING <br />The foreqoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Pedersen, Hanson, Morelan. <br />Nays (O).
