MZNUTES CITY COUNCIL JANUARY 26, 1994 PURCHASE Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and OF PLOW moved its adoption: FOR LOADER RESOLUTION N0. 94-1-32 - APPROVING TIiE PURCHASE OF A SNOW PLOW FOR THE LOADER FROM ZIEGLER CATEPILLAR IN THE AMOUNT OF $8~391 AS RECOMMENDED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS SUPERINTENDENT The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (4) Morelan, LaValle, Hanson, Pedersen. Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. ASSISTANT The Parks & Recreation Director reported that the City ItECRL~ATION advertised an Assistant Recreation Director vacancy via DIRECTOR the City newsletter, on the City's Cable TV channel and in the Little Canada Press. Nine applications were received and all nine applicants were interviewed. The Director felt that the City was very fortunate in the type and quality of the candidates for the position. Based on the interview, qualifications, and references, the Parks & Recreation Director recommended that Michelle DeBace be hired to fill the position of Assistant Recreation Director at a salary of $541 per month. The Director reported that DeBace has a degree in in the recreation administration field, and has coached and participated in the City's recreation programs. DeBace would commence her duties effective February 1, 1994. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 94-1-33 - HIRING MICHELLE DEBACE AS ASSISTANT RECREATION DIRECTOR FOR THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 1, 1994 AS RECOMMENDED BY THE PARKS & RECREATION DIRECTOR The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. Ayes (4) LaValle, Morelan, Hanson, Pedersen. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. ADJOURN Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 94-1-34 - ADJOURNING The foreqoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen.
