MINUTES CITY COUNCIL ~TANUARY 26, 1994 The City Attorney stated that the revised Variance request would require a 10-day published notice and a public hearing before the City Council. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 94-1-23 - CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR FEBRUARY 23, 1994 TO CONSIDER THE REQUEST OF THE MARKET PLACE SHOPPING CENTER FOR VARIANCE TO THE CITY'S SIGN ORDINANCE REQUIREMENTS TO ALLOW FOR A PYLON SIGN WHICH EXCEEDS SIGN AREA MAXIMUMS The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. Ayes (4) LaValle, Pedersen, Hanson, Morelan. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 94-1-24 - DENYING THE REQUEST OF TEAM PROPERTIES, REPRESENTING THE MARKET PLACE SHOPPING CENTER, FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW A SECOND FREE-STANDING SIGN AS PART OF THE MARKET PLACE SHOPPING CENTER AS WELL AS DENYING A VARIANCE TO ALLOW BOTIi FREE-STANDING SIGNS ALONG ONE STREET FRONTAGE The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (4) Morelan, LaValle, Pedersen, Aanson. Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 94-1-25 - WAIVING THE DEVELOPER DEPOSIT FEE FOR THE REVISED VARIANCE REQUEST MADE BY THE MARKET PLACE SHOPPING CENTER, AND DECLARING THAT THE DEVELOPER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CITY'S OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THIS VARIANCE REQUEST The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. Ayes (4) Morelan, Pedersen, Hanson, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. SHORELAND Hanson opened the public hearing to consider oRDINANCE amendment of the City's Shoreland Ordinance to bring that ordinance into compliance with DNR mandates.
