MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />~TANUARY 26, 1994 <br />The City Attorney stated that the revised Variance <br />request would require a 10-day published notice and a <br />public hearing before the City Council. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94-1-23 - CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR <br />FEBRUARY 23, 1994 TO CONSIDER THE REQUEST OF THE MARKET <br />PLACE SHOPPING CENTER FOR VARIANCE TO THE CITY'S SIGN <br />ORDINANCE REQUIREMENTS TO ALLOW FOR A PYLON SIGN WHICH <br />EXCEEDS SIGN AREA MAXIMUMS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Pedersen, Hanson, Morelan. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 94-1-24 - DENYING THE REQUEST OF TEAM <br />PROPERTIES, REPRESENTING THE MARKET PLACE SHOPPING <br />CENTER, FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW A SECOND <br />FREE-STANDING SIGN AS PART OF THE MARKET PLACE SHOPPING <br />CENTER AS WELL AS DENYING A VARIANCE TO ALLOW BOTIi <br />FREE-STANDING SIGNS ALONG ONE STREET FRONTAGE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (4) Morelan, LaValle, Pedersen, Aanson. <br />Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94-1-25 - WAIVING THE DEVELOPER DEPOSIT <br />FEE FOR THE REVISED VARIANCE REQUEST MADE BY THE MARKET <br />PLACE SHOPPING CENTER, AND DECLARING THAT THE DEVELOPER <br />WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CITY'S OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS <br />IN CONJUNCTION WITH THIS VARIANCE REQUEST <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (4) Morelan, Pedersen, Hanson, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />SHORELAND Hanson opened the public hearing to consider <br />oRDINANCE amendment of the City's Shoreland Ordinance to bring <br />that ordinance into compliance with DNR mandates. <br />There was no one present from the general public <br />wishing to comment on this matter. <br />Page 7 <br />
