MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING CITY COUNCIL LITTLE CANADA~ MIN FEBRUARY 23, 1994 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the Council of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 23rd day of February, 1994 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. Mayor Raymond Hanson chaired and called the meeting to order at 6:10 P.M. and the following members of the Council were present at roll call: MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Raymond Hanson Council Member Mr. Steve Morelan Council Member Mr. Bob Pedersen Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze MEMBERS ABSENT: Council Member Mr. ALSO PRESENT: City Admin. Mr. Public Works Mr. Parks & Rec. Mr. Cable TV Prod. Mr. Admin. Asst. Mrs Jim LaValle Joel Hanson Dave Harris Jim Morelan Bill Bruce Kathy Glanzer CAPITAL The City Administrator presented a revised Capital IMPROVEMENT Improvement Budget. The Administrator reported that BUDGET this latest revision includes recommendations of the Park & Recreation Commission as well as review by City staff. The Administrator reviewed the revisions which include the fact that the City is applying for a$46,000 Community Development Block Grant for rehabilitation of the old fire station and the City's share of this cost was adjusted somewhat. Also, interest earnings were adjusted based on 1993 actual numbers to more closely reflect that revenue. An additional $2,500 was included for the cost of a community survey as a result of conversations with Decision Resources to estimate the cost of adding a business component to a survey. Other revisions include an increase of $26,000 in the estimated cost of a new fire truck for a total of $250,000. This price is subject to potential discounting options.
