MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 13, 1994 <br />any questions about the use of these funds, they are free <br />to ask without being appointed voting members of the 10% <br />committee. <br />LaValle pointed out that if a charity wanted to ensure <br />that a particular project is funded, that charity could <br />make a donation to the City for that project outside of <br />their 10% donation. <br />Scalze stated that someone commented to her that the <br />charities are making large 10% donations, and they should <br />have some input into how this money is being spent. <br />Pedersen again questioned the need to make the charities <br />voting members of the committee. <br />Scalze again expressed her feeling that City staff not be <br />voting members of the committee. <br />Morelan reported that he could go either way on the issue <br />of the staff as voting members, and pointed out that the <br />process appeared to work well in the past. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 94-4-89 - APPROVING THE GUIDELINES FOR 10% <br />GAMBLING EXPENDITURES AND COMMITTEE STRUCTURE WITH THE <br />REWORDING OF ITEM 2 UNDER "FUNDING DECISION PARAMETERS" <br />AS OUTLINED BY THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR THIS EVENING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (3) Morelan, Pedersen, Hanson. <br />Nays (2) Scalze, LaValle. Resolution declared adopted. <br />COMMUNITY The City Administrator reported that he was unable to <br />SURVEY obtain information on the final quote and scope of <br />services from Decision Resources on a community survey. <br />It is hoped that this information will be available at <br />the next meeting. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94-4-90 - TABLING ACTION ON THE COMMUNITY <br />SURVEY UNTIL THE APRIL 27, 1994 CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />10 <br />
