MINUTES CITY COUNCIL APRIL 13, 1994 The Administrator did not believe the City was setting itself up for an expense it could not recoup in the future if we determined contracting to be a better option. Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 94-4-99 - AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF AN ASPHALT ROLLER AS RECOMMENDED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS SUPERINTENDENT AT A COST OF $6,200.00 PLUS TAX AND TRADE- IN The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) Morelan, Scalze, Hanson, Pedersen, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. BUILDING The City Administrator reported that activity in the INSPECTING building inspection area has not been high and has been manageable with the temporary inspector who has been assisting the City. The Administrator reported that he is continuing to evaluate alternatives in this area and should be presenting the Council with a recommendation in the near future. PARK The City Administrator reviewed the Park and Recreation ACQUISITION Commission's request that City staff research the NEED5 availability of certain pieces of property in the City which would help complete the City's park system. Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 94-4-100 - INSTRUCTING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO CONTACT THE OWNERS OF THOSE PROPERTIES RECOMMENDED BY THE PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION TO DETERMINE THE AVAILABILITY OF THESE PARCELS The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) Morelan, Scalze, LaValle, Pedersen, Hanson. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. CITY CENTER The Council reviewed the Park & Recreation Director's SIGN recommendation that a small committee be appointed to COMMITTEE evaluate and put a recommendation together for a City 26
