MINUTES CITY COUNCIL APRIL 27, 1994 CUP FOR at 3006 Rice Street for Conditional Use Permit for OUTDOOR outdoor sales and displays. Hanson pointed out that SALES & the Planning Commission recommended approval of the DISPLAYS CUP. A & W Marie Haglund reported that she would like a CUP in order to have outdoor display and sales of seasonal farm products and vegetables. Haglund explained that the vegetables would be sold from the back of a pick-up truck at the front of the A& W building on Rice Street. Customers would enter the A& W property through the south curb cut on Rice Street, buy their vegetables and then exit through the north curb cut. Haglund pointed out that the sales will not interfere with the operation of the A& W. Haglund reported that there is approximately 50 feet from the A& W building to the street so there is room for the veqetables sales. Pedersen asked if the sales would be seasonal. Haglund replied that they would be, but the CUP would also include Christmas tree sales on the A& W lot which has been going on for many years. There was no one from the general public present wishing to comment on this matter. Upon motion by LaValle, seconded by Morelan, the public hearing was closed. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 94-4-105 - APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR OUTDOOR SALES AND DISPLAYS AT THE A& W LOCATED AT 3006 RICE STREET AS REQUESTED BY CHARLES AND MARIE HAGLUND SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY PLANNER AS CONTAINED IN HIS REPORT DATED APRIL 12, 1994 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Hanson, Morelan, Pedersen. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
