MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />APRIL 27, 1994 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop <br />meeting of the Council of the City of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was held on the 27th day of April, 1994 in the <br />Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little <br />Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Raymond Hanson chaired and called the meeting to <br />order at 6:07 P.M. and the following members of the <br />Council were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Raymond Hanson <br />Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Council Member Mr. Steve Morelan <br />Council Member Mr. Bob Pedersen <br />Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Admin. Mr. Joel Hanson <br />Fire Chief Mr. Dick Boss <br />Fire Dept. Mr. Jim Morelan <br />Fire Dept. Mr. Jim Zietlow <br />Fire Dept. Mr. Tom Ducharme <br />Fire Dept. Mr. Jim Zietlow <br />Fire Dept. Mr. Don Smiley <br />Admin. Asst. Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />FIRE DEPT. The Fire Chief reported that the purpose of the workshop <br />meeting between the City Council and Fire Department is <br />informational. The Chief reported that he would update <br />the Council on Department activities during 1993, plans <br />for 1994, membership roster, and committee assignments. <br />The Chief reported that there were 148 responses for <br />service made by the Fire Department during 1993, <br />representing approximately 2,500 man hours. This does <br />not reflect the time spent back at the station after each <br />call getting the trucks and equipment ready for the next <br />emergency response. Another approximately 1,700 man <br />hours were spent in training drills. The Fire Chief <br />reviewed a break-down of the 1993 incidents in detail. <br />Hanson asked about mutual aid responses and how often the <br />Little Canada Fire Department needs to call for mutual <br />aid. <br />1 <br />
