Mr. Don Smiley
Admin. Asst. Mrs. Kathy Glanzer
FIRE DEPT. The Fire Chief reported that the purpose of the workshop
meeting between the City Council and Fire Department is
informational. The Chief reported that he would update
the Council on Department activities during 1993, plans
for 1994, membership roster, and committee assignments.
The Chief reported that there were 148 responses for
service made by the Fire Department during 1993,
representing approximately 2,500 man hours. This does
not reflect the time spent back at the station after each
call getting the trucks and equipment ready for the next
emergency response. Another approximately 1,700 man
hours were spent in training drills. The Fire Chief
reviewed a break-down of the 1993 incidents in detail.
Hanson asked about mutual aid responses and how often the
Little Canada Fire Department needs to call for mutual
aid.
1
