MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 11, 1994 <br />Saturday and Sunday, May 14 and 15, in the parking lot <br />of Norm's Tires. Proceeds from the sale will be used <br />to help fund the annual Canadian Days Celebration. <br />Aanson reported that money-saving coupons can be picked <br />up at City Hall which can be used toward purchases at <br />the sale. <br />Hanson thanked all those involved in the City clean-up <br />efforts on April 3oth, including the many volunteers <br />and the owners of The Market Place Shopping Center for <br />the use of their parking lot. <br />PROPERTY Mr. John Brown, owner of 601 East Viking Drive, <br />DIVISION appeared before the Council requesting the division of <br />601 VIKING his property into two lots. Mr. Brown reported that <br />DRIVE - BROWN he has received a copy of the City Planner's report, <br />and is in agreement with the recommendations of the <br />Planner. Mr. Brown also indicated that he is working <br />with City staff on the sanitary sewer issues identified <br />by the Public Works Superintendent. <br />The Administrative Assistant reported that the Park & <br />Recreation Commission has recommended a cash park <br />charge for the newly created lot, which will be <br />collected at the time of building permit application. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94-5-116 - APPROVING THE DIVISION OF 601 <br />EAST VIKING DRIVE INTO TWO LOTS AS REQUESTED BY MR. <br />JOHN BROWN SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE <br />RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY PLANNER AS OUTLINED IN HIS <br />REPORT DATED MAY 2, 1994, SUBJECT TO DEDICATION OF SIX <br />FOOT DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENTS ALONG ALL LOT <br />LINES, SUBJECT TO DEDICATION OF A SANITARY SEWER <br />EASEMENT AS NEEDED TO SERVICE THE NEWLY CREATED LOT, <br />AND SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATION OF <br />THE PLANNING COMMISSION THAT THE PROPERTY OWNER SIGN A <br />WAIVER OF RIGHT TO APPEAL SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FOR <br />FUTURE WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT ON VIKING DRIVE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Morelan, Pedersen, Collova, Hanson. <br />Nays (0).
