MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 22, 1994 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94-6-153 - AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO SEND A 90-DAY CANCELLATION NOTICE TO <br />ANIMAL CONTROL MANAGEMENT TERMINATING THE CITY~S <br />CONTRACT WITH THAT ORGANIZATION EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, <br />1994 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Hanson, Pedersen, Morelan. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ENGINEERING The City Administrator reported that there are some <br />CONTRACT details of the engineering contract that need to be <br />worked out, and suggested that action on this matter be <br />tabled until the next Council meeting. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94-6-154 - TABLING ACTION ON THE <br />ENGINEERING CONTRACT UNTIL THE JULY 13, 1994 REGULAR <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Hanson, Pedersen, Morelan. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CITY OF The City Administrator pointed out that the City of <br />AFTON Afton is requesting that the City support their <br />position that the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance <br />Trust should reimburse their city officials~ legal fees <br />and drop their Supreme Court action. The matter stems <br />from an action against Afton officials for violation of <br />the open Meeting Law. <br />Scalze indicated that she was not interested in taking <br />a position on this matter. Scalze noted that she has <br />not researched the matter, nor did she intend to. <br />Scalze stated that she would assume as a member city of <br />the LMCIT, that the League is addressing the matter in <br />accordance with their policies. <br />The City Attorney reported that the two other cities <br />that he is familiar with have taken no position on the <br />matter. <br />Morelan felt it would be improper for the City to take <br />8 <br />
