MINIITES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 13, 1994 <br />Morelan asked who would determine whether or not the <br />soils could support any masonry. <br />Pedersen pointed out that the City Engineer could do so <br />using the soils reports provided. <br />Morelan felt the question was the degree of correction. <br />Stockness indicated that it is his intention to put the <br />4 foot masonry wainscot on the building, and he will <br />design the footings of the building to carry that load. <br />Stockness indicated that he would be comfortable with <br />the requirement of a 4 foot masonry wainscot. <br />Pedersen suggested that the City require a minimum of 4 <br />feet, and if it is determined that that is not <br />feasible, Stockness could come back before the Council. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 94-7-187 - APPROVING A VARIANCE FROM THE <br />BUILDING MATERIALS REQUIREMENT OF 50% MASONRY COVERAGE <br />AS REQUESTED BY DAN STOCKNESS FOR BUILDING TO BE <br />CONSTRUCTED AT APPROXIMATELY 3065 SPRUCE STREET <br />CONTINGENT ON THE BUILDING HAVING A MINIMUM OF 4 FOOT <br />MASONRY WAINSCOT AROUND THE PERIMETER OF THE BUILDING, <br />WITH THE BASIS FOR THE VARIANCE BEING THE SOIL <br />CONDITIONS OF THE PROPERTY AS DOCUMENTED BY TWO SOIL <br />ENGINEERING REPORTS AND DUE TO THE FACT TIIAT THIS <br />PROPERTY IS A TRANSITIONAL SITE BETWEEN RYAN INDUSTRIAL <br />PARK AND I-P DEVELOPMENT ALONG SOUTI-I OWASSO BLVD. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, LaValle, Hanson, Scalze, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator reported that the City Engineer <br />is in the process of reviewing the Stockness fill <br />permit application, and recommended that any approval <br />of this permit be conditioned upon City Engineer <br />approval. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94-7-188 - APPROVING THE STOCKNESS FILL <br />12 <br />
