MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 13, 1994 <br />MANNER MOST ADVANTAGEOUS TO THE CITY AS DETERMINED BY <br />THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Pedersen, Hanson, Morelan, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />WINDISH The City Administrator pointed out the correspondence <br />REQUEST FOR from Denise Windish requesting a donation toward the <br />DONATION cost of inedical treatment for her son. It was noted <br />that although the City sympathized with the situation, <br />legally the City cannot make donations. The City <br />Administrator was instructed to inform Windish of this. <br />Hanson announced that if anyone is interested in <br />donating to Jeffrey Windish's medical treatment, they <br />could contact City Hall for additional information. <br />The Parks & Recreation Director reported that one of <br />the airlines will provide free tickets to California <br />provided that a non-profit organization makes the <br />formal request. The Little Canada Recreation <br />Association has made that request on behalf of Windish. <br />Hanson reported that Windish has also made a request <br />£or funding from the Lions Club, which will be <br />considering that request at an upcoming meeting. <br />RECREATION The Parks & Recreation Director reported that he <br />REPORT requested funding from the North Suburban Youth <br />Assooiation for the Safety Camp which is put on through <br />the efforts of the Cities of Little Canada, Lauderdale, <br />Roseville, and Falcon Heights. NSYA agreed to fund <br />just under $3,000 for that camp. <br />The Director reported that the Super Summer Director <br />requested funding from NSYA for Super Summer field <br />trips and shirts. NSYA agreed to fund just under <br />$3,000 for that purpose. NSYA has been a sponsor of <br />the Super Summer program since its inception. <br />Total funding from NSYA for both programs was $5,800. <br />ADJOURN Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />30 <br />
