MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
FEBRUARY 9, 1994
Pedersen asked if the Committee were similar to the
Planning or Park & Recreation Commissions.
Scalze replied that the Committee was not that
formalized, but was more a focus group.
Morelan stated that he would like to see Committee
members appointed by the City Council for specific
terms.
Pedersen agreed feeling that this would make the
Committee more important and more valued.
Scalze stated that she would hesitate to make the
Committee too formal. Pedersen
felt that perhaps the Committee's role should be more
defined so that the Committee is more focused.
The Administrator stated that in the past the Committee
had been used as a sounding board.
Morelan felt there should be at least enouqh structure
so that there are some definite meeting dates.
