MINUTES
CITY COLTNCIL
AUGUST 10, 1994
property owner was in favor of trying that posting to
determine whether or not it will take care of the
problem. The Administrator reported that the majority
of the problem is cars and trailers taking up the edges
of the street and blocking visibility. The
Administrator pointed out that there is a bituminous
curb on the street, therefore cars cannot pull off the
street onto the boulevard area.
Desai reported that there is a problem where Dianna
Lane intersects with County Road B-2. Dianna Lane is a
steep slope at that point, and during the winter when
the road is icy, there is a problem with cars sliding
out from Dianna Lane onto County Road B-2. Desai
sugqested that area around the intersection be posted
as no parking, with the no combination car and trailer
parking posted beyond a certain intersection area.
Desai also suqgested that should a road improvement be
contemplated in the future, some thought be given to
shaving off the Dianna Lane slope.
LaValle suggested that the Dianna Lane intersection be
posted as no parking approximately 30 to 40 feet back
from the intersection.
The Public Works Superintendent pointed out that
currently there is no parking on the north side of
County Road B-2, and two-hour parking on the south
side. The petition asks for no parking on the south
side of County Road B-2 from Greenbrier Circle to
Arcade Street. This would be in addition to the no
parking on the north side.
LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 94-8-215 - INSTRUCTING TAE PUBLIC WORKS
SUPERINTENDENT TO POST THE SOUTH SIDE OF COUNTY ROAD B-
2 ADJACENT TO THE DIANNA LANE INTERSECTION AS NO
PARKING, WITFI A THE REMAINDER OF TIIE SOUTH SIDE OF
COUNTY ROAD B-2 FROM GREENBRIER CIRCLE TO ARCADE STREET
POSTED AS NO COMBINATION CAR AND TRAILER PARKING
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen.
Ayes (5) LaValle, Pedersen, Hanson, Scalze, Morelan.
Nays (0).
