MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
AUGUST 10, 1994
FIRE The City Administrator presented the proposed Fire
DEPARTMENT Department Contract for Council action. The
CONTRACT Administrator felt that the contract increased
accountability and documented needed relationships
between the City and the Fire Department. Major
changes include:
*A year-end accounting of expenses for the
year completed;
*Ownership and disposition of assets;
*Fire-year Capital Improvement Plan;
*Purchase of a new fire truck.
The City Attorney reported that the contract appears to
be in the proper form.
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION N0. 94-8-214 - APPROVING THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
CONTRACT AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE
CITY
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze.
Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Hanson, Pedersen, Morelan.
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
COUNTY Hanson reviewed the recommendation of the Public Works
ROAD B-2 Superintendent for no parking on County Road B-2 from
PARKING Greenbrier Circle to Arcade Street. Hanson reported
REGULATIONS that the Johnson's, who live on the corner of Arcade
Street and County Road B-2 would like some parking on
County Road B-2. The Johnson's have indicated that
should parking be banned entirely, their driveway is
not large enough to accommodate guest parkinq of more
than a few cars.
LaValle pointed out that North Owasso Blvd. is posted
as no combination car and trailer parking. LaValle
suggested this as an alternative to posting County Road
B-2 as no parking.
The City Administrator reported that he spoke with one
of the parties who signed the petition requesting the
no parking, and they felt the postinq of no combination
car and trailer parking may address the problem.
