MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />AUGUST 30, 1994 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular <br />meeting of the Council of the City of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was held on the 30th day of August, 1994 in <br />the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Raymond Hanson chaired and called the meeting to <br />order at 7:38 P.M. and the following members of the <br />Council were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Raymond Hanson <br />Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Council Member Mr. Steve Morelan <br />Council Member Mr. Bob Pedersen <br />Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Admin. Mr. Joel Hanson <br />Park Comm. Mr. Aoward Remerowski <br />Planning Comm. Mr. Denny Davison <br />Planning Comm. Mr. Dennis Carson <br />Resident Mr. Jim Gustafson <br />Decision Res. Mr. Bill Morris <br />Decision Res. Mr. Peter Leatherman <br />Admin. Asst. Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />COMMUNITY Hanson reported that at a Council/Staff goal setting <br />SURVEY session held last fall, it was determined that the City <br />is at a crossroads and it was necessary to set the <br />future direction of the City. One of the means for <br />determining that direction would be to conduct a <br />community survey to find out what the citizens feel <br />that direction should be. Hanson pointed out that the <br />City did a community survey in 1988, and the City <br />Council has tried to follow the mandates of that <br />survey. The City recently hired Decision Resources to <br />conduct another community survey, and the purpose of <br />this workshop is to formulate topic questions to be <br />asked in the survey. <br />Bill Morris, Decision Resources, reported that on July <br />13, 1994 a focus group of residents and business owners <br />was held to develop topics to be addressed by the <br />community survey.
