Of those <br />interviewed, it was agreed that Ehlers & Associates <br />would best meet the needs of the City. The City <br />Administrator requested authorization to enter into <br />contract negotiations with Ehlers & Associates. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94-9-325 - AUTAORIZING THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO ENTER INTO NEGOTIATIONS WITH EHLERS & <br />ASSOCIATES FOR FISCAL ADVISORY SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF <br />LITTLE CANADA <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Hanson, Morelan, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />AUSTRALIAN The City Administrator reported that Mr. Louie Tima <br />& BLUWOOD would like to pursue a property division. This issue <br />CUL-DE-SACS has been discussed by the City in the past with the <br />City indicating that Mr. Tima would be responsible for <br />the cost of improving a cul-de-sac adjacent to his <br />property. <br />The City Administrator felt that the situation at the <br />end of Australian Avenue could be improved with an <br />adequate turn-around. The property division proposed <br />by Mr. Tima may be the opportunity for the City to <br />pursue a turn-around under a cost-sharing agreement. <br />Such an arrangement would allow both Mr. Tima and the <br />City to accomplish their goals. <br />The Administrator felt the turn-around was a difficult <br />issue since it involves other property owners in <br />addition to Mr. Tima. The Administrator reported that <br />one of the options looked at in the past was a T- <br />intersection, however, it was determined that such an <br />intersection would be unacceptable. <br />Scalze agreed that the cul-de-sac issue should be <br />looked at, and suggested that the City Administrator <br />meet with the neighbors to discuss the matter and <br />analyze the costs. Scalze felt the improvement should <br />be handled in the most cost-effective way possible. <br />Scalze pointed out that the Tima's paid for Planner~s <br />reports analyzing the cul-de-sac back in 1986, and she <br />4 <br />
