MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
SEPTi~IBER 28, 1994
the property since the easement would run right up to
the garage.
Pedersen pointed out that if the houses would have to
comply with setback requirements, they would be out-of-
line with the others in the neighborhood.
Morelan suggested that setback variances could be
granted. However, if the cul-de-sac were put in right
away, the houses would be very close to the pavement.
Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 94-9-345 - AMENDING THE LEEWARD WAY
DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT DELETING SECTION FIVE OF THE
AGREEMENT PURSUANT TO THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE PUBLIC
WORKS SUPERINTENDENT FOR OPTION #3 WHICH ENDS LEEWARD
WAY WITA NO PROVISION FOR TURN-AROUND
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle.
Ayes (5) Morelan, LaValle, Scalze, Hanson, Pedersen.
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
The City Administrator felt that given the
circumstances this was the best approach to addressing
the situation.
LOUD STEREO Morelan pointed out that other communities have adopted
ORDINANCE ordinances prohibiting loud stereos and suggested that
Little Canada look at this issue.
The City Administrator replied that staff would
research ordinances which other cities have, obtain
comments from the 5heriff's Department, and provide the
information to the City Attorney to draft an ordinance
for consideration by the Council.
ROOFING BIDS The City Administrator reported that the City has
FOR SPOONER obtained bids for the reroofing of the Spooner Park
PARK SHELTERS shelters. While the budget provided for reroofing of
only one of the shelters at this time, there are
economies of scale in having both done at the same
time.
23
