MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 26, 1994 <br />relationships, and that Shoreview's questions #111 <br />through #117 be adapted to the Little Canada survey. <br />Morris suggested that #65 be reworded and placed <br />elsewhere in the survey. <br />Morelan pointed out that the Park & Recreation <br />Commission felt that #73 was vague, and asked what is <br />meant by a"park system" - programming or facilities. <br />Morris felt the question referred to facilities only. <br />Morelan suggested that if that is the case, the <br />question say "park facilities". <br />Morris pointed out that the question is trying to get <br />at perception level of knowledge. <br />Scalze felt that #84 should refer to connection of the <br />City's trail system in general. Scalze also felt that <br />#85 could be dropped. For #87, Scalze felt the wording <br />"for a fee" should be included. <br />The Administrator suggested <br />if residents are willing to <br />trails during the winter. <br />that #86 be reworded to ask <br />pay for the plowing of <br />It was pointed out that the Park & Rec Director <br />suggested that in #88 the word "party" be changed to <br />"gatherings or picnics". <br />Scalze stated that she would like to see a question <br />about the use of the lower level of the old Fire <br />Station as a community room. <br />LaValle pointed out that even after the building is <br />renovated to meet Code, there would still be a problem <br />with parking. <br />Scalze suggested the use of the pleasure rink was a <br />possibility for parking. <br />Morelan felt that before the building is used as a <br />community room, there would have to be some hard data <br />presented to see if this use would be successful. <br />The Administrator felt that #101 should refer to the <br />Rice Street area. <br />7 <br />
