The <br />Administrator pointed out that if property owners feel <br />a 50o assessment is fair, it will show that the City's <br />street assessment policy is on target. <br />Pedersen pointed out that the question should indicated <br />that higher general taxes would be necessary to oover <br />costs that are not assessed. <br />LaValle felt that questions #59 and #60 were redundant. <br />LaValle also felt respondents should be informed that <br />increased property taxes would be necessary to pay for <br />sidewalk improvements. <br />Pedersen questioned the value of questions 65 and 66. <br />Morelan felt that answers to these questions will tell <br />the Fire Department something about their image. <br />Morelan suggested that question #66 could be eliminated <br />and question #65 reworded to give information about <br />image. <br />LaValle questioned the validity of #69 given that <br />improvements such as stop lights would be too expensive <br />for the City to install. <br />Morris agreed that #69 should be dropped if the City <br />would not be able to follow through with an action <br />based on the replies given. <br />Scalze asked whether the City should ask about the <br />perception of a crime problem. <br />The City Administrator suggested that questions #113 <br />through #117 in the Shoreview survey be included in the <br />Little Canada survey. <br />Morelan stated that he liked question #115 as well. <br />Morris suggested that #61 through #64 be dropped and <br />replaced with Shoreview's harder questions. <br />Scalze suggested that in addition to #113 through #117 <br />that question #112 be included. <br />Morris suggested that #61 through #66 be deleted, that <br />the Fire Department be brought back in in terms of <br />6 <br />
