MIN[]TES
CITY COUNCIL
NOVENIBER 23, 1994
against a developer. The award to the developer was a
substantial one. Lancette stated that he had two
questions for the Council. The first is who pays the
bill if the City of Little Canada is sued and there is
an award against the City. The second question is who
represents the City of Little Canada in a lawsuit.
The City Attorney replied that to the extent that the
claim relates to the City's risk coverage, the City's
insurance carrier, the League of Minnesota Cities
Insurance Trust, would defend the City. The insurance
company would pay any judgement awarded against the
City for any risk covered by the City's insurance
policy. The attorney defending the City would be
designated by the League Trust.
CONSENT Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and
AGENDA moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION N0. 94-11-409 - APPROVING THE CONSENT AGENDA
WHICH CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:
*APPROVAL OF ASSESSMENT REAPPORTIONMENT FOR 480 COSTA
LANE AS RECOMMENDED BY CITY STAFF;
*APPROVAL OF 1994 AUDIT CONTRACT AS PRESENTED AND
AUTHORIZING TIIE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO
EXECUTE ON BEI3ALF OF THE CITY~
*APPROVAL OF THE VOUCHERS
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan.
Ayes (4) LaValle, Morelan, Hanson, Pedersen.
Nays (0).
