MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />NOVEFIBER 29, 1994 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop <br />meeting of the Council of the City of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was held on the 29th day of November, 1994 in <br />the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Raymond Hanson chaired and called the meeting to <br />order at 7:05 P.M. and the following members of the <br />Council were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Raymond Hanson <br />Council Member Mr. Steve Morelan <br />Council Member Mr. Bob Pedersen <br />Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Admin. Mr. <br />Fire Dept. Mr. <br />Public Works Mr. <br />Park & Rec. Mr. <br />Ehlers & Assoc.Mr. <br />Cable TV Prod. Mr. <br />Admin. Asst. Mrs <br />Joel Hanson <br />Jim Gustafson <br />Dave Harris <br />Jim Morelan <br />Rusty Fifield <br />Bill Bruce <br />Kathy Glanzer <br />METRO EAST Jeff Rageth, Metro East Development Partnership, <br />DE~IELOPMENT appeared before the Council reporting that Metro East <br />PARTNERSHIP was formed eight years ago in response to the <br />development which was occurring in the eastern suburbs. <br />The Partnership has grown to include 28 cities as well <br />as 80 private corporations and the Counties of Ramsey, <br />Washington and Dakota. The Partnership focuses on job <br />retention and attraction as a means of tax base <br />expansion, and has five main programs. These include <br />their small business mentoring program; a series of <br />educational programs for members; property and building <br />tracking system; data base business information <br />resources; and extensive business lead referral system. <br />Regath reported that he will leave information with the <br />City Administrator which describes these programs. <br />Regath reported that he was here this evening to invite <br />Little Canada to become a part of the Partnership. <br />1 <br />
