MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
NOVEPSBER 29, 1994
Little Canada's annual membership fee would be $500.
Regath encouraged the City to join again pointing out
the educational and networking opportunities that the
Partnership provides.
It was pointed out that the City is a past member of
the Partnership.
Regath reported that the Partnership has made progress
in the opportunities it provides cities since Little
Canada was last a member. Regath stated that he
believed it was good from a regional standpoint for
Little Canada to become a member. Regath thanked the
Mayor and Council for their time.
1995 BUDGET The City Administrator presented the final draft of
REVIEW the 1995 Budget document. The Administrator then
reviewed his November 28th memo which indicates the
final draft includes changes which were made at the
previous budget workshops, as well as some additional
recommendations he would make to attain a 0% net levy
increase. These include General Fund revenue increases
and expense reductions totalling approximately $20,000.
The major changes were made in license and permit
revenue areas, as well as expense adjustments based on
current 1994 figures. The Administrator also noted
that under General Fund Miscellaneous Revenue the $725
Concession revenue was not added into the total figure,
and asked the Council to make that adjustment in their
budqet documents to reflect the addition of this
amount.
The Administrator pointed out that he added $1,000 to
General Fund Expenditures Mayor & Council Miscellaneous
to cover the cost of a team building/goal setting
session in 1995. It was also pointed out that $2,000
was dropped from the Canadian Days portion of the
budget. The Administrator reported that he contacted
the Canadian Days Committee which indicated that they
did not believe they would need City funding in 1995,
but asked if the allocation could still be made in the
event the money was needed. The Administrator felt
that based on the gambling revenue being generated by
Canadian Days, he felt safe in eliminating the $2,000
in City funding with the understanding we will take
care of needs to this extent should their own revenues
be inadequate.
