MINU'PES
CITY COUNCIL
JANiJARY 11, 1995
Council has asked for throughout the process has never
been on time. The City has no reason to believe that
the development is real other than Mr. Collyard's word.
The City has asked for supporting documentation which
has never been submitted. There are declining property
values in the district, and the City would like to see
something happen along Rice Street. There is no
alternate plan at this point. Deadlines imposed by
Collyard have not been met, and information has not
been given to the Council. Morelan pointed out that
only the January 6th deadline was set by the City
Council.
Morelan felt it important that the Council have
information. Morelan agreed that the committee should
meet with Collyard and report to the entire Council at
the next meeting. If a preliminary development
agreement cannot be entered into, the City most then
move on to something else.
Pedersen asked if the Gateway Project was doable. Is
the project real? Are there people in place who can
capitalize it and get it going? Pedersen agreed the
committee should meet and bring back a report to the
Council. Pedersen also expressed interest in servinq
on the committee.
By a flip of a coin, it was determined that the
committee should be comprised of the Mayor, City
Administrator and Council Member Morelan.
This issue will be discussed by the committee on
January 20th and by the entire Council at its regular
meeting on January 25th.
ADJOURN Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 95-1-14 - ADJOURNING
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan.
Ayes (5) LaValle, Morelan, Fahey, Scalze, Pedersen.
Nays (0).
