MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JANUARY 25, 1995 1995 LEGAL The Administrative Assistant reported that the NEWSPAPER deadline for the Little Canada Press has been extended until Friday's at 8 A.M. provided that staff informs the Press on Thursday mornings that a notice would be coming. The Roseville Review has extended their deadline until 10 A.M. on Monday's and have agreed to match the price quoted by the Little Canada Press. Morelan stated that he understood staff's preference for the later deadline, but suggested that the Little Canada Press be appointed as the City's legal newspaper given that residents are used to looking at the Press for the City's legal notices. Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 95-1-32 - APPOINTING THE LITTLE CANADA PRESS AS THE CITY~S LEGAL NEWSPAPER FOR 1995 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. Ayes (5) Morelan, Pedersen, Fahey, Scalze, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. 1995 Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and INSURANCE moved its adoption: RENEWALS RESOLUTION N0. 95-1-33 - APPROVING THE 1995 INSURANCE RENEWALS AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) Morelan, Scalze, LaValle, Fahey, Pedersen. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. GATEWAY Mr. Gary Collyard appeared before the Council and PROJECT reported that the subcommittee of the Council met on Friday, January 20th, with anchor tenants interested in the Gateway Project. The tenants informed the subcommittee of their interest in locating in the area. Collyard reported that he is talking with an architect and the tenants about the project and working on the concept plan. Collyard is also working with the investors as to financial commitments, and will submit the investor pool list to the City in a confidential manner. 27
