MINU'PES
CITY COUNCIL
FEBRUARY 15, 1995
The City Planner pointed out that both sides have
different interests, and it was important that someone
from the City analyzed the numbers.
Collyard stated that the City wants to respond to his
numbers, and felt that by Friday next week he should
have some fairly reasonable numbers to submit that
would include cost of construction, acquisition,
demolition, relocation, site improvements.
DeLonais reported that Mr. Guerin has indicated that he
will not sell the northeast corner of Little Canada
Road and Rice Street.
Collyard reported that he has had seven meetings with
Guerin, the last one being about three months ago, and
Guerin has indicated that he would sell.
The Administrator asked if Collyard would have
appraisal information to substantiate some of the
numbers he will be submitting.
Collyard replied that he has a pretty good idea of
market value of the properties based on other
acquisitions in the area. Fahey stated that he
was not sure he was excited about condemning business
properties. Fahey suggested that if Mr. Guerin wants
to continue his shoe store and barber shop, he was not
sure the City should condemn this property. Fahey
stated that he did not have a problem condemning vacant
11
