Collyard stated that the <br />drug store is making ends meet, however, they cannot <br />wait to move into the new retail space being proposed. <br />Scalze pointed out that urgent care is not retail, and <br />suggested that they be located in the Market Place. <br />Collyard reported that there are urgent care facilities <br />in other malls. The proposal is to locate them right <br />next to the drug store. <br />Morelan felt that this seemed like a waste of good <br />retail space. <br />Pedersen suggested that the Grumpy's site might be a <br />good urgent care location. <br />Collyard replied that the site is too expensive. <br />LaValle suqgested that the grocery store, urqent care, <br />and bingo hall could be located in the Market Place <br />Shopping Center. <br />Collyard replied that he has another place for the <br />bingo hall. Collyard reported that the anchor tenants <br />need parking, and he is trying to do the best he can <br />with the Market Place. Since there has been criticism <br />about the demolition of the Market Place, the plans <br />have been changed to retain a portion of the structure, <br />keeping some space for the grocery store, and orienting <br />the facility toward Rice Street. Additional parking <br />can be obtained for the grocery store by utilizing the <br />Burger King and Pizza Hut lots. <br />DeLonais pointed out that he wants to retain his back <br />acre since he uses this area as his front yard. <br />DeLonais also pointed out that the shopping center is <br />20 to 25 years old, and he believes it was developed in <br />1971. <br />Morelan asked where the bingo hall would be located. <br />Collyard replied that he is looking at acquiring the <br />Movers Warehouse property, expanding the Rice Street <br />frontage, and placing the bingo hall some place within <br />Little Canada that would be acceptable to the City. <br />Collyard anticipated that that would be in an <br />5 <br />
