MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 22, 1995 <br />owner would sell a 1.5 foot strip of land to make the <br />access point 50 feet wide. <br />scalze suggested that when the Park & Recreation <br />Commission looks at the concept, they consider <br />requiring a 10 foot easement from the end of the cul- <br />de-sac to the adjacent park property. <br />Moser stated that Mrs. Denery would like to be able to <br />develop 8 lots. <br />Scalze pointed out that the developers are reducing <br />their costs substantially by shortening up the street. <br />Fahey suggested that Mr. Moser have the developer <br />contact the City Administrator and tell him if they are <br />interested in purchasing the two lots that would fall <br />on City park property. <br />The City Administrator suggested that the City have an <br />appraisal done to determine the value of these lots. <br />Fahey agreed provided the developer was interested in <br />the lots. <br />Moser asked the Council's position on the 7 lots as <br />shown on Option 3. <br />Fahey stated that the consensus of the Council was in <br />favor of the 7 lots shown under Option 3. The Council <br />is also of the position that the Park & Recreation <br />Commission should look at this option and recommend <br />whether or not a portion of the City's park land should <br />be sold to the developer so that two additional lots <br />could be developed as part of the plat. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-2-53 - TABLING ACTION ON THE DENERY <br />CONCEPT PLAT UNTIL TIiE MARCH 8, 1995 REGULAR COUNCIL <br />MEETING PENDING A RECOMMENDATION FROM THE PARK & <br />RECREATION COMMISSION ON THE PARK LAND ISSUE AS WELL AS <br />PENDING A RESPONSE FROM THE DEVELOPER AS TO WHETHER OR <br />NOT THERE IS INTEREST IN PURCHASING ADJACENT PARK <br />PROPERTY TO BE DEVELOPED AS PART OF THE PLAT <br />5 <br />
