MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAFZCH 8 , 1995 <br />him. Malgren also reported that he would like to see <br />something happen along Rice Street before property <br />values increase and make redevelopment more difficult <br />to achieve. Again, Malgren urged the Council to move <br />quickly on their study because of his need to expand. <br />Fahey pointed out that nothing would preclude the <br />Council from lifting the development moratorium if a <br />property owner submits a proposal the Council would <br />find acceptable. <br />Morelan stated that he appreciated Malgren's comments. <br />The moratorium has been in effect for eight months. It <br />is the Council's hope that by hiring the consultants, <br />the process will be expedited. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 95-3-77 - IN5TRUCTING CITY STAFF TO <br />RETURN THE $7,500.00 DEPOSIT MADE BY THE VENETIAN <br />DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION BASED ON THE FACT THAT THE CITY <br />HAS NO CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT WITH THE ORGANIZATION NOR <br />IS ONE EMINENT IN TIiE FUTURE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, Fahey, Scalze, Pedersen, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />MOVER'S The City Attorney reported that Mover's Warehouse has <br />WAREHOUSE filed an appeal. No time table has been set at this <br />LAWSUIT point for hearing that appeal. <br />ADJOURN Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-3-78 - ADJOURNING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Morelan, Pedersen, Scalze, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />24 <br />
