MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
MAI2CA 8, 1995
Fahey felt at the minimum a cost estimate was needed
along with potential funding sources.
Sanders suggested that he could get cost information on
other bridge projects which have been done recently.
Howard Remerowski pointed out that the City's trail
system is in pieces and may never be linked.
Remerowski asked if the Park & Recreation Commission
should be looking for alternative ways of connecting
the trail system, or if the City feels the missing
pieces under the powerlines should be aggressively
pursued.
Scalze pointed out that when the Heinel property is
developed, the City can then take the property
necessary for the trail connection.
Remerowski and Morelan indicated that the Heinel's have
informed them that they have no intentions of
developing. Fahey stated that he did not want to spend
money bringing a trail down Payne Avenue to LaBore Road
and then to Edgerton, when there are only one or two
pieces missing to complete the powerline trail system.
Pedersen pointed out that the property under the
powerlines is not usable for anything else.
Fahey pointed out that the property owners on Keller
Parkway did not want paved shoulders on the street.
Fahey stated that the trail connection would serve the
public good.
Scalze pointed out that the Keller Parkway shoulders
3
