MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />APRIL 24, 1995 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop <br />meeting of the Council of the City of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was held on the 24th day of April, 1995 in <br />the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael I. Fahey called the meeting to order at <br />7:05 P.M. and the following members of the Council were <br />present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Michael I. Fahey <br />Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Council Member Mr. Steve Morelan <br />Council Member Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Council Member Mr. Bob Pedersen <br />ALSO PRESENT: Admin. Asst. Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />RICE STREET Rusty Fifield, Ehlers & Associates, reported that the <br />STUDY purpose of tonight's meeting is to conduct an <br />administrative workshop relative to the Rice Street <br />Study. Topics to be discussed tonight include <br />establishment of a steering committee, development of a <br />calendar and meeting schedule, and initial perceptions <br />about the study area. <br />Steering Committee <br />Fifield reported that the study team needs to report to <br />a steering committee in order that administrative <br />aspects of the process can be addressed. Fifield <br />reported that on other projects steering committees <br />have been composed of people representing the City, <br />businesses and the community. Fifield stated that he <br />did not have any specific recommendation regarding the <br />composition of this committee. <br />Fahey reported that he <br />the steering committee <br />they were in agreement <br />the steering committee <br />welcome all input from <br />the process, and would <br />in any way. <br />has discussed the composition of <br />with the City Administrator, and <br />that the City Council should be <br />Fahey stated that he would <br />the qeneral public throughout <br />prefer not to limit that input <br />Fifield pointed out that the scope of work includes two <br />town meetinqs which are open to the entire population <br />of the area.
