MINU'i'ES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />MAY 10~ 1995 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular <br />meeting of the Council of the City of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was held on the loth day of May, 1995 in the <br />Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael Fahey chaired and called the meeting to <br />order at 7:30 P.M. and the following members of the <br />Council were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Admin. <br />City Attorney <br />Cable TV Prod. <br />Admin. Asst. <br />Mr. Michael Fahey <br />Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Mr. Steve Morelan <br />Mr. Bob Pedersen <br />Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br />Mr. Joel Hanson <br />Mr. Tom Sweeney <br />Mrs. Jane Boog <br />Mrs. Kathy Glanzer <br />MINUTES Mr. Pedersen introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-5-122 - APPROVING THE FOLLOWING <br />MINUTE5: <br />APRIL 24, 1995 COUNCIL WORKSHOP MEETING; <br />APRIL 26, 1995 COUNCIL WORKSHOP MEETING~ <br />APRIL 26~ 1995 COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Morelan, Fahey, Scalze, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ANNOUNCE- Scalze reported that she would like to provide some <br />MENTS information about the City's tree planting activities <br />over the past few years in light of a recent sub- <br />headline in the Little Canada Press regarding Little <br />Canada Tree City USA cutting down a cottonwood tree. <br />The City has been a Tree City since 1992. In 1993 the <br />City planted close to 100 trees, in 1993 the City <br />planted 60 trees and an additional 30 were planted in <br />Gervais Mill Park in conjunction with the Watershed <br />project. So far 23 trees have been planted in 1995, <br />and it is likely that an additional 100 trees will be <br />planted before the year is over.
